This year's Garden Award winners were announced
on Tuesday 29th October at the Centre for Community, and here they are:
Get ready for the Landcare Broken Hill Garden Awards 2025!
Continue to keep your eye out for the most amazing gardens around the Broken Hill region,
and get ready to nominate them from the first day of Spring - 1st September 2025 - for a chance to WIN some super prizes!
We're looking for gardeners to show us their creativity, skills and innovative gardening techniques that get amazing results in a region with limited rainfall.
You can nominate yourself, your neighbour, a family member, a friend, or even a complete stranger to receive an Award for their garden.
Entry is FREE
We have four exciting categories for you to choose from:
Best Garden Award – We’re looking for established gardens with that special something, that also embody sustainability and innovation.
Business Garden Award - Businesses that benefit from having a garden and those who may be interested in investing in one, for the benefit of their clients and staff. Also, those who encourage and promote more environmentally minded practices in their workplace.
Garden Renovation Award – For people who have recently bought a house, especially young couples, who are rethinking or updating their garden.
Compact Garden Award – For people with small spaces, especially renters and people who do amazing things with pot plants.
Nominations Open: Monday 1st September 2025
Nominations Close: Midnight Tuesday 14th October 2025
Winners announced at 7.30pm Tuesday 28th October 2025 at the Centre for Community - 200 Beryl St, Broken Hill.

Landcare Broken Hill wish to pay respect to the former Silver City Garden Club that started a garden competition for the community, and carry on the tradition of acknowledging and appreciating the time and effort people take to help regenerate and beautify our city. We believe that these Awards are important in the development of community structure and unity, so whether you've got a strip, patch, plot, or pot, it's time to pick up those garden gloves and gardening tools, get to work... and get nominating.
