ITINERARY in Broken Hill time (ACST):
7:30am meet at the front of the Broken Hill Civic Centre at 31 Chloride St for an 8am departure on Friday 4th October.
10:30am (approx) arrival at Mutawintji NP for a quick morning tea ie. fruit (no tea/coffee), so please be sure to eat breakfast and bring snacks if you need something more substantial to get you through to lunch.
Head off for a 2km educational stroll before arriving at the Mutawintji Cultural Centre to listen to a Seven Sisters Dreamtime story.
Next, the coach takes us 6km north to the Mutawintji Historic Site, established in 1927 as the first protected conservation area.
NOTE: This is a restricted area only accessible with an accredited Aboriginal guide. Aboriginal people from everywhere once gathered for ceremony business at this site, so this is a truly unique experience you won't want to miss!
1:30pm - Back to Visitor's Centre for a very leisurely lunch and yarn before heading back to Broken Hill.
5pm - Estimated time of arrival back at Broken Hill Civic Centre.
