To assist in the identification of vegetation in the Broken Hill bioregion, a photo catalogue of plants is currently being compiled.

The plants in the catalogue are set out in seven different groups;
1. Grasses and reeds
2. Ground covers, forbs and low shrubs (<1m)
3. Medium shrubs (1-2m)
4. Tall shrubs and trees (>2m)
5. Ferns
6. Mistletoes
7. Introduced species

Within each group the plants are arranged alphabetically by their scientific name which is followed by their common name.
